Evan is a curator, arts writer, and teacher in Southern California, specializing in modern and contemporary art. She is an Instructor at Laguna College of Art & Design and California State University, Fullerton, teaching gender studies and art history, and she is also Director/Curator for Golden West College Art Gallery in Huntington Beach.

 

Evan recently served as a juror for the Festival of Arts (2019), and is currently the guest juror for the 2020 Made in California exhibition at Brea Art Gallery as well as he guest juror for the LMU 2020 annual student art show at the Laband Gallery.

 

She is former Editor-In-Chief of Inland Empire Weekly and Culture Magazine, a former Assistant Editor for YAY! LA Magazine, and is founder of the online independent art journal, Rogue Arts. She has contributed as an arts writer for Art and Cake, KCET Artbound, Orange County Register, Artillery, Artvoices, Beautiful Bizarre Magazine, Art Ltd. Magazine, E-VOLVED, Local Arts, Juxtapoz, Laika, Beauty & Wellness CA, ArtScene and the OC Art Blog, and has a Masters Degree in Art History from California State University, Fullerton.
